Story from TheIowaChannel.com - Their video is from the first hour or so only.
Story from WhoTV.com - Clearer video, but solely from behind police lines.

Bah, ya know in Basic they drug us into room filled with tear gas a building with our gas masks on, made us remove the masks and stand in there and recite our birthday, SS# and first middle and last names.
At least you was out in the open. ;p

Last night when the refs weren’t calling fouls in the Leafs/Sens game, Timprov said, “Damn! It’s starting to look like Iowa out there!”

I find it interesting, though not surprising, a picture of Curious George gets front-billing on the IA State homepage.

Also, that they used the phrase “VEISHA disturbance” here: http://www.iastate.edu/news/today/today.shtml

Hey Eric -
As much as I do admire what you had to endure through basics - remember - Rob would’ve never been able to pass the physical to get into any branch of the armed services. Between asthma & allergies - they would have laughed him out of the recruiting office.
Hey Rob - did you know not all your links worked?

Okies, I think that’s probably my quota of “Rob is a big, out-of-shape wussy boy” for the week. I think we get it.

“I’m not dead yet! I’m really feeling better!”
Rob complains when our inputs aren’t relevant to his outputs. And then we do comment on his subject matter (tear gas) he gets a bit touchy!
With all the interesting descriptive names of the Veisha “incident” - I suggest we submit a favorite or one we would like to see.
I’m holding out for wing-ding and broo-ha-ha.

You and Justin are permantly grounded from any “socializing” during the duration of your living arrangement. I’m amazed you didn’t die from an asthma attack from the tear gas. This does reflect on my lecture #103.7B - “you are judged by the company you keep with guilt by association”.
Journalism is not your career choice and as your mother I prefer you skipped the real live action and stick to the voices and stories in your head.
And if I’m freaked - you’d better be grateful that Grandma was put on massive pain relievers today and at this point probably (hopefully) lacks comprehension.
still love you, mom
