One of my coworkers sent me an email today which included a fantastically fun conjunction I’d not come across (or thought of myself) before. The context of the sentence was something along the lines of “this section is similar to all the other sections we have ever done.” Except, instead of “we have ever,” he used we’ver. We’ver = we have ever. And you know what the best part was? I didn’t even notice the conjunction right away. My brain automatically translated it into “we have ever” and kept on going. And that is what makes a good conjunction work. Yay geeky grammatical fun!

Oh, and I made it home from San Diego, by the way. No worries there. ;) I may even get around to posting a few pictures sometime. Perhaps even this weekend, if I get sufficiently bored. And “sufficiently bored” might even happen, because Amanda will be up north visiting her family all weekend. Of course, I’ll be spending Saturday evening - Sunday evening in southern Iowa visiting family of my own. So promises I will not make. I’m sure you expected nothing else.

Anyway, I know this is a short post, but I want to try and catch up on a couple of blogs of my own really quickly before I head out for the evening. Have a good weekend, all!

Speaking of grammar, don’t you think it’s about time you learned the difference between a conjunction and a contraction.
